Thanks for stopping by! My name is Jade and I’m a Seychelles-born Brit writing my little blog from my home in Kent.
17 years old with an infatuation for lacy white dresses, romance novels, comforting films, potted plants, chatting and just about anything that comes in yellow; I created this blog in 2014 as I started secondary school, in an attempt to curate my often bewildered thoughts about some of my favourite interests.
Now in sixth form, armed with my laptop, turtleneck (à la Steve Jobs) and camera ; I write about the things that I’ve experienced and what I’m going through at this time in my life. Frills & Lyrics is something that I’ve had and cherished throughout my adolescence as a means of expression and experimentation.
At school, I’m the resident mum-friend. At home, I’m the big sister. On this blog, I’ve been able to be those for even more people.
I’ve been fortunate enough to appear in Seventeen magazine discussing body image. I love championing the ideas, people and brands that I believe in.
